Micro-Escopio's New Album / Nuevo Disco - Free Download

Well it's been a long journey but here we are. Finally, our third album, and our first full length. I hope you enjoy it as much as we do. (The artwork is included in the downloadable zip file)

A few things to share before the album release...

Well as you all know, the new album will be ready to download in a few hours and we are excited about it.

What else is going on...well:

- microescopio.com is finally working and it will redirect you to this blog, which will be keeping quite current (and bilingual).

-We opened up an account on twitter so you can follow us there too twitter.com/microescopio.

-Remember that our albums are free to download, and that we have the PayPal Donate button for those that like to contribute to the bands. You don't have to, we mainly make our albums because we love to do music, but it doesn't bother us when people want to pay us for what we do. :) The Donate button you can find in the MySpace page and now here, on the right pane of this blog that we recently customized.

-We would like feedback once you hear the album. The good with the bad. It's just the best way of knowing people are listening, even when they only have criticism.

Bueno como ustedes ya deben saber, el nuevo disco estará disponible en un par de horas y nosotros no podríamos estar más contentos con eso.

Algunas otras cosas que estan pasando:

-microescopio.com ya esta funcionando y redirecciona a este blog el cual estaremos manteniendo bastante corriente (y bilingüe).

-Hemos abierto una cuenta en twitter así que nos pueden seguir por allá también. twitter.com/microescopio

-Recuerden que nuestros discos son gratis para bajar y que tenemos también el botón de donar via paypal para aquellos que les gusta contribuir con las bandas. No es obligado ya que nosotros hacemos esto mayormente por amor al arte, pero tampoco nos molesta cuando la gente decide pagarnos por lo que hacemos. El botón de donar lo encuentra en la página de MySpace y en este blog en el panel de la derecha luego de la discografía recientemente incorporada.

-Nos encantaría escuchar sus opiniones una vez descarguen el disco. Lo bueno con lo malo. Es así la mejor manera para nosotros saber que la gente anda escuchando, aun cuando solo tienen críticas.

Eso es todo por ahora. Nuestra próxima entrada incluirá el disco nuevo para descargar.

We are back...

For a while we have left this blog abandoned, but that will no longer be the case. This will from now on be the home base of operations for Micro-Escopio. Before the week is over the URL www.microescopio.com shall redirect you here, and from this location you'll have links to other places in the internet where we have a presence.

That being said, we truly are back. We have a new online album coming out this weekend. It is the first album where only one of us (me, Pete Drown) participates in the music. Mike Mellow, was still part of the project as creator of the art and co-producer of the songs.

The name of the album will be "Songs For The Road Towards The End Of The World" and its first single will be called "Ciento Once Grados" (111 Degrees). It is a theme album that ventures to the days we are living, travels thru the past, present and future of the fear...in an 8bit sound that's more friendly than scary. It has 12 songs and it will be free to download, just like the previous to EP's, from our there homes (Blogger, myspace, facebook). After the first week of free download, we might start giving away for free just a few of the songs, and then sell the abum for a five dollars on myspace. We also have the "donate" button on our page, where you can pay for the album what you want that first week, with no obligation.

When we upload the new album this Sunday 31, right before midnight, we'll also be uploading the last two EP's which apparently have broken links.

I hope you enjoy what we have created and please don't be shy to share your thoughts...Good or bad...it's all good. Thanks.

Por un tiempo hemos tenido este blog abandonado, pero ese ya no será el caso. De ahora en adelante esta será la nueva casa principal de Micro-Escopio. Antes de que acabe la semana el dominio www.microescopio.com redireccionará a esta localidad. Desde aquí tendrá enlaces a nuestros diferentes localidades en el internet.

Habiendo dicho eso, en realidad si estamos de vuelta. Tenemos un nuevo album que será lanzado de manera digital este fin de semana. Es el priemr album en el que solo uno de nosotros (Yo, Pete Drown) participa en la música. Sin embargo, Mike Mellow participó de igual manera creando el arte y co-produciendo el disco.

El nombre del album será "Songs For The Road Towards The End Of The World" que al español sería "Canciones Para El Camino Hacia El Fin Del Mundo". El primer sencillo se titulará "Ciento Once Grados" (111 Degrees). Es un album temático que se aventura a los días que vivimos, atravesando el pasado, presente y futuro de nuestros miedos...en un sonido de 8bit que es más amigable que tenebroso. Cuenta con 12 canciones y estará disponible para bajar de gratis, junto con nuestros dos anteriores EP's, desde todos nuestros hogares en línea (Blogger, myspace, facebook). Luego de una semana de descargas gratis, es posible que solo dejemos algunas canciones para descargar gratuitamente y el resto ó el disco completo estaría disponible para comprar por cinco dólares desde myspace. Como siempre, tenemos también el botón de "donar" (donate) en nuestra página de myspace, donde usted puede aportar lo que crea por lo que descarga, sin ninguna obligación.

Cuando lanzemos el album el Domingo 31 de Mayo antes de medianoche, también estaremos subiendo los últimos dos EP's que aparentemente tienen enlaces rotos.

Reverb is a natural thing...EP is here!

Bueno, finalmente ya esta aquí. Nuestro más reciente EP "Reverb is a natural thing..." ha llegado como prometido, antes del fin de Noviembre. Estamos muy contentos de compartir nuestro más reciente trabajo con ustedes y esperamos que lo disfruten como nosotros disfrutamos hacerlo (y al escucharlo también). Mientras lo bajan de la página, si aun no han bajado el primer EP "Melodias Microescópicas" pues aprovechen. El botón de donar esta ahí como lo que dice. Siguiendo los pasos de artistas como Radiohead y su filosofía de "pague lo que crea y si cree". Asi que como dice, es donación, es opcional, hágalo si quiere/puede y sino pues a coger por culo. Como un bono adicional, hemos includio una versión que hicimos de una canción del grupo español "Los Planetas", el cual es uno de nuestros favoritos. No la incluimos en el EP pero esta disponible para bajar del "player" en myspace. El tema que versionamos fue "De Viaje" y que arrogantemente le cambiamos el título a "De Viaje Microescopico".

Well it's finally here. Our latest EP "Reverb is a natural thing..." has arrived as promised, before the end of November. We are very happy to share our latest work with you and hope you enjoy it as we have enjoyed making it (and listening to it too). As we mentioned before, it's a free download so go ahead and serve yourself. While you are at it, if you haven't downloaded our first EP "Melodias Microescopicas" get it as well. The Donate button is there to follow in the footsteps of artists such as Radiohead and their "pay if you want" method. So like it says, it's a donation, it's optional, do it if you want/can.As a bonus gift, we have included a version of a song by the group "Los Planetas" which is one of our favorites groups. Estamos vivos. Simplemente no hemos estado pasando por el blog, pero ya estamos de vuelta y como Bruce Willis, con venganza.

Notas Sobre El Posible Primer Demo Del Grupo

Año Nuevo, Vida Nueva. Así piensa el proyecto Micro-Escopio. Entre estos planes esta la incorporación de equipos más sofisticados a su roster y la grabación del primer Demo/EP del grupo para principios de año, que posiblemente incluirá unas 4 a 5 canciones. Entre ellas estan

El lanzamiento no sería nada muy sofisticado, predominantemente la idea es difundir el material. A finales de año 2006 esperan lanzar un segundo Demo/EP con otras 4 o 5 canciones. De esta manera mantienen un sistema bastante fresco de material afuera.
